Founder of OPTOPOL Technology

Adam Bogdani established company OPTOPOL in 1992. Initially, it was mainly a distribution company, importing optical machinery ophthalmology. Adam Bogdani’s vision of running a Polish, professional company, recognizable and esteemed in the global market, is successfully continued under management of Marcin Bogdani, the son of company Founder.
On Sunday 8th of March 2020, after a lengthy and difficult battle with an illness, Adam Bogdani has passed away at the age of 71. 

Milestones in Optopol history under the leadership of Adam Bogdani:

  • 2001, manufacturing the first automated perimeter
  • 2006, manufacturing the first spectral domain OCT
  • 2008, IPO on Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE)
  • 2010, joining Canon Group and delisting from WSE
  • 2012, manufacturing the first Canon branded OCT
  • 2014 up to date, launching new generation of Optopol branded spectral domain OCT devices and new models of automated perimeters

In 2014, Optopol became an independent company again, leaving Canon Group, continuing the development of diagnostic devices for ophthalmology. Adam Bogdani’s vision of running a Polish, professional company, recognizable and esteemed in the global market, is successfully continued under management of Marcin Bogdani, the son of company Founder.
