ESCRS 2026 in London: OPTOPOL Technology Premieres

ESCRS 2026 is a wrap. For OPTOPOL Technology, it was a congress of major premieres: at Booth A.129 at ExCeL London, we unveiled new solutions in OCT imaging and perimetry. At the OPTOPOL Symposium, we also discussed a new standard in multimodal imaging.

REVO 2 and FUNDO: The Next Step in OCT Imaging

The OCT story at OPTOPOL began with Copernicus OCT, the world’s first commercial spectral-domain OCT. Since then, we have continued to develop our OCT technology with every new generation of devices, including the REVO platform and REVO HR with 3 µm resolution. On Friday, 11 September, at 14:00, we unveiled the next chapter.

REVO 2 is the next generation of the proven REVO platform. This all-in-one OCT combines Multimodal Widefield OCT and Multimodal Widefield Fundus Imaging on a single platform. It premiered alongside FUNDO, a widefield, multimodal fundus camera built to capture every retinal perspective.

ASTRAL and HORIZON: A New Chapter in Perimetry

We have been manufacturing perimeters since 2001 and have kept refining them ever since, generation after generation of the PTS series. On Saturday at 13:00, we showed where this part of our story is heading. Under the banner “Expanding the Horizon of Perimetry”, we introduced two new perimeters: ASTRAL and HORIZON. HORIZON features an integrated computer and runs on a new web application, so it can be operated from a tablet, phone or computer with no installation required. We designed the interface around the fast, everyday workflow of technicians.

STELLAR: A Web-Based Platform for Ophthalmology

STELLAR, which premiered the same day, is also built around a web-based approach. It is the Unified Health Management Platform for Ophthalmology.

OPTOPOL Symposium: A New Standard in Multimodal Imaging

After the premieres, it was time to talk about what multimodality means for clinical practice. On Saturday, 12 September, the George V3 Room hosted the symposium “A New Standard in Multimodal Imaging of the Anterior and Posterior Segments”. The speakers were Dr. Ximena Mira Lorenzo from Mexico, along with Prof. Adam Wylęgała and Dr. Bartosz L. Sikorski from Poland. The session focused on anterior and posterior segment imaging in everyday diagnostics.

Throughout the congress, visitors to our booth could test the new devices themselves. Meeting physicians is what we look forward to most at every congress, because those conversations shape how our devices evolve.
